CastelBrando - Princess Spa & Royal Wellness

Glass 1989, brand of the bathroom division SanSwiss/RONAL Group, by now synonymous with "made in Italy" wellness of excellence, strengthens its presence in the professional spa sector by playing a leading role in the new restoration and redevelopment project for the wellness centre of CastelBrando, one of the largest and oldest castles in Europe, in Cison di Valmarino.

The new Princess Spa & Royal Wellness is the jewel in the crown of the imposing castle of medieval origins that rises majestically on the hills of the Prosecco UNESCO heritage site, which is proposed as an elegant luxury hotel. The new Princess Spa offers an evocative and emotional experience, where the rituals of the ancient Roman baths merge with the most modern wellness technologies by Glass 1989.

It was a stimulating challenge for Glass, which delivered customised solutions perfectly integrated, in the historical context, enhancing the already fascinating proposal of the Castelbrando location. Stefano Boccalon, CEO of Glass 1989 and Karol Italia stated: "We are particularly proud to be partners in such an exclusive project, which was challenging for us in several respects, in particular the need to promptly respond to the client's needs with dedicated and customised solutions that stimulated our team and further confirmed the level of expertise matured by the company in the professional wellness sector".

The new wellness centre can count on three new Infinity 260/240 infinity pools in a special version with a continuous filtering system and automatic analysis of the water parameters, which can be constantly checked and controlled by the hotel.

The purpose-built sauna area includes three saunas with different functions: a traditional Finnish sauna with temperatures rising to 90°, a bio-sauna suitable for those who need less intense temperatures, and finally a sauna with chaise longue with infrared lamps for those who really cannot tolerate a substantial temperature variation but still want to benefit from the sauna experience.
All Glass 1989 saunas have been specially designed for this particular context and embellish the space with the use of fine finishes such as hemlock and heat-treated toulipier.

Completing the Castelbrando proposal is a Private Spa where Glass 1989 has created a custom-made sauna + hammam shower space and inserted MawiSpa, an indoor spa particularly suited to an intimate living space.
